Vacating a Conviction King County Superior Court, Seattle and Kent
On King County Superior Court cases in Seattle and Kent, I work with the prosecutor to get their agreement so you don’t have to show up.
In this court spotlight I want to talk about vacating a conviction in King County Superior Court. They have smooth processes set up, and when you work with an attorney, it’s generally handled by agreement and without a hearing. All that I need from my clients is generally a name and date of birth to pull the records and an electronic signature on the court paperwork.
The prosecutor sings off if they agree. It does take about 2 months in the queue for them to review it for agreement. I would say the entire process in terms of collecting and getting it through to the Judge takes about 3 months. Then it is processed by Washington State Patrol.
Generally you do not have to appear for these, and I try and do everything for my clients to make it as smooth and easy of a process as possible. Give my office a call if you have questions.
